New Water Infrastructure Project Launching in Raqqa Governorate

We are excited to announce the upcoming launch of a significant project starting in September 2024, aimed at drastically improving water infrastructure across the communities of Al-Meshlab, Al-Aliyah, Al-Houra, and Sahlet al-Banat in the Raqqa Governorate. Scheduled to run for seven months, this project is part of our commitment to enhancing the quality of life and health for nearly 50,000 residents by ensuring access to safe, sustainable drinking water. The project will involve upgrading water stations, networs, enhancing technical capacities, and boosting community engagement in water management practices. These efforts will not only secure reliable water supplies but also empower local communities with better health and economic stability.Stay connected for further updates on this transformative initiative.

Upcoming Multi-Sectorial Needs Assessment in Ar-Raqqa Governorate

We are pleased to announce that starting in September 2024, TOTOL for Relief and Development will be conducting a comprehensive needs assessment across key sectors in the Ar-Raqqa Governorate. This detailed analysis will focus on Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL), Agriculture, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Early Recovery, and Education.

The assessment aims to identify critical needs and gaps in services to better plan our future interventions towards the communities’ most pressing challenges. This initiative is essential for planning effective support strategies and enhancing the overall humanitarian, peace, development and recovery efforts in North Eastern Syria.

We expect to release the findings of this extensive assessment in January 2025. The final report will be shared with the humanitarian community, reaching out to more than 150 local and international NGOs, to guide and coordinate future interventions.
