Research, Humanitarian Access and Advocacy

TOTOL contributes to shaping informed strategies and policies for northeastern Syria through research and advocacy, aiming to improve humanitarian access and deliver timely, targeted, and effective assistance.

Key Projects:

Multi-Sectorial Needs Assessments in Ar-Raqqa and Deir Ezzor:

This aims for understanding the complex and evolving needs of communities at different levels in conflict-affected areas. TOTOL conducts comprehensive multi-sectorial needs assessments, gathers data on the ground realities in Ar-Raqqa and Deir Ezzor. These assessments inform our programs and our partners and are essential in guiding our interventions to ensure they are responsive and appropriate to the needs of the communities we serve.

Advocacy and Humanitarian Diplomacy:

Leveraging the insights gained from our on-ground research, we engage in targeted advocacy and humanitarian diplomacy efforts. These constant efforts aim to influence policy, secure commitments from stakeholders and international donors, and promote partnerships that enhance humanitarian access and support. By advocating for the rights and needs of vulnerable populations, we work to ensure that humanitarian principles are upheld, and aid reaches those who need it most.

Through our Research and Humanitarian Access efforts, we enhance understanding of community needs for more effective interventions. By strengthening advocacy for policy changes and increasing access, we ensure adaptive aid delivery, paving the way for sustainable recovery and resilience.
